Vahishtai J Daboo is the founder and Principal Consultant of INTEGRTED, Center for Hearing Loss. She is a Listening & Spoken Language Specialist, Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist from the Alexander Graham Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language Certification, USA.
She is the Co-founder and Managing Trustee of VConnect Foundation, a Parent Support Group pan India, Trustee of Umanag School for Children with Hearing Loss, Ahmedabad. She is a Guest Faculty at Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), teaching the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Auditory Verbal Therapy Course, Cofounder of Online AVT conducting skill building workshops and programs for professional and parents.
Vahishtai serves on the board of the Alexander Graham Bell Academy in USA, as a committee member on the Listening and Spoken Language Certification Committee, since May 2021 and is an executive committee of the Cochlear Implant Group of India (CIGI) since November 2022.
Her Qualifications are – B.Sc (Home), B.Ed. (S.E.D.E. – HI), Auditory Verbal Therapy Certification, from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for Speech and Hearing Disability (Divyangjan), Listening and Spoken Language, Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist from Alexander Graham Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language Certification, USA.. She is a certified Mental Health Practitioner (Narrative Practices) and a certified Emotional Free Technique (EFT) Practitioner.
Vahishtai has a wealth of knowledge and her career in this field spans over two decades. Over the course of her career she has provided Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) to hundreds of children, working closely with the children, caregivers and adults, mentored professionals and set up centers, and worked with them upgrade and enhance their capabilities. She has had the opportunity to work with and headed reputed AVT centers for children with hearing loss. She has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to be mentored by experts in India and Internationally.
She has done her Post Graduate Diploma, Auditory Verbal Therapy from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), Mumbai and her B.Ed. in Hearing Impairment from HashuAdvani College, Mumbai.
Rashmi has been in the teaching field for 17 years and has been working for the last 9 years in teaching children with hearing loss one on one. She has been awarded with the young researchers award at National Convention of Educators of Deaf (NCED) and has received best teachers award at KDN Shruti school. She has a knack of connecting with children and developing a rapport with all the families on the caseload.
Priti Jiwal is a Junior Auditory Verbal Therapist (AVT). She has completed her Post Graduate Diploma, Auditory Verbal Therapy, from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan)-AYJNISHD(D), Mumbai and her B.Ed. in Special Education
– Hearing Impairment from AYJNISHD(D). She has also completed her M.Com from Mumbai University
Fatema Jagmaag, is a Senior Consulting Audiologist & Speech / Language Pathologist at INTEGR△TED. She is Founder of Shaba Speech and Hearing Centre and the Co-founder and Trustee of VConnect Foundation, a Parent Support Group.
Fatema is attached to Saifee Hospital, Masina Hospital and E.A.R. as a senior consulting audiologist. She has been practicing in the field of cochlear implantation since 2000 and has the expertise in mapping all cochlear implants – Cochlear, Advanced bionics, Medel and Neurelec. She has mapped more than 1000 children / adults successfully. She has also started the remote mapping programme in India and Kenya.
